1. Why us?

First impressions count the most. And the first impression I got from a recent guild wasn't exactly the best. TBK were spoken of extremely highly, not just as RPers but as a community. IC and OOC balance each other out.

2. To be an efficient member of the The Blood Knights you will have to be active on forums. What, if any, problems does this pose for you?

Only real problem is that as a full-time worker, I don't get as much time to do fun stuff as I would like so I can't always guarantee continual activity though I do try to be online as often as I can.

3. Write a short RP story about your character.

Laughing in an almost malicious delight, Elenathial watched as the flames formed around her hand like the most wonderful of gloves. Heat and magic suffused her hand and arm in a familiar yet altogether new feeling, a more deliciously powerful feeling.

Book reading and scroll studying was one thing but this, this was the real reward to feel the power right there coursing through your veins and mingling with the blood running there. Ruthless she flicked the small ball of flame toward the unfortunate insect that chose to scuttle across the table and watched with a perverse glee as the creature was incinerated into a tiny puddle of faintly smoking ash.

There was nothing left but magic and vengeance and now one would feed the other in the desire to learn, to obtain and control power. Someone had said that with power came responsibility, but what good was the power if you had not the control to wield it against your enemies?

Smiling smugly, the mage collected her scrolls and gathered them to her as she rose to leave. She was but young, her experience was limited and her power could deplete all too easily. But her day would come where she would stand tall and proud beside her brothers and sisters.

4. Elaborate on what makes WoW fun for you and why you want to be in a guild.


I'm a gamer and I'm an RPer. WoW brings me a world that literally lets me bring RP to life. I adore fantasy RP and being given an opportunity to bring that to life to a degree makes me happy in a completely geeky way.

However, as an RPer, that means I crave the company of people when I play. Whilst sometimes I might well want to just quest on my own for a while, I find it by far, a hundred times more enjoyable when I can run with a group of friendly people and enjoy both OOC banter and a good RP session at the same time.

5. Please state your main focus in WoW at this moment and your reasons for focusing on this area of the game.

Still being fairly new to WoW (though not to RP) I am still learning. So when I go to a new area, instead of just hunting down quests I learn the lay of the land. In many respects I'm still learning the way WoW works and am gleaning as much as I can from the more experienced players in the hope to be able to help out others new to the game as I progress. It's scary being new and I think some members forget that as they level up through the game.

6. At times there will be scheduled Rp events. Please post your thoughts on this.

Other than hoping I don't miss any? I think a scheduled event (especially if there's planned plots/storylines for people to take off with) could be fantastic. I've yet to find any solid RP that wasn't verging on either melodramatic or a little too close to cyber for my liking.

7a. In the guildlines we state that to be a member you have to have read and understand the Rp policy that is a vital part of Darkmoon Fair. Assuming you have done this. Give us a short review of this agreement.

Ooo uh. Let's think now, it's been a while since I've read it ^^;;
- Naming policy: choosing a suitable name not just for the realm/game type (though this should be taken into serious consideration when creating a char) but also was none offensive, contained multi-words (ie ElfzRule - bad example I know )
- Remembering IC and OOC protocol. Ideally the 'real world' or out of character chat should be kept off public/main channels. I personally use whispers but I believe the double bracket can be used?

I think those were the 'biggies'.

7b. In the lines we also state that you need to have prior knowledge about the lore of World of Warcraft and the Blood Elves, assuming your have, mind telling us some about it and how you got it?

I was referred to WoW-Wiki and have found it to be a veritable goldmine! From history to language, I have found it to be useful and up to date in applying information in game. As someone new to the Blood Elf race as well as the game, my Lore knowledge is still a little limited, this is something I intend to change as both myself and my character develop in the game in both an IC and OOC context.

8. Can anyone in The Blood Knight vouch for you? Do you know anyone of us?

Dalathar. It was him who told me about TBK when some.. issues arose with The Inner Dawn.

No, I was recently part of the Inner Dawn for a very short time until it disbanded.


11. Tell us something about your time on Darkmoon Faire. What, if any, experiences have you got on the server, guilds you have been in, some fun facts about you?

I have some experience elsewhere on DMF (all right I'll admit it, I have an ally alt who I play time to time) but on the whole and still shiny and new. In a gaming sense my experiences have been positive however limited on the RP front which is what I'm hoping to be able to change.

Fun facts about me... hmm... oh I know, I'm a mac user and an all around geek. I can also be bribed with Ben&Jerrys.

Well I like the firstname it's the surname that I'm humming and hawing over ^^ I can see an IC change coming though, I'm pretty sure Ele will have an epiphany of sorts as she develops
